The Grand Canyon Railway and Hotels “America 250 Locomotive” took its first run to the Grand Canyon and back to Williams, Arizona Friday June 5.
The locomotives design celebrates the 250th birthday of America and was done in conjunction with the United States Department of Transportation to inspire Americans and visitors to explore America “from sea to shining sea.”
The locomotive will make daily runs to the Grand Canyon and back, and can be viewed leaving every morning and returning every evening at the depot in Williams.
The Grand Canyon Railway is offering special “Celebrate America’s 250th” rates that can be accessed at the Railways website.
