ARIZONANS FACE HIGHEST MEMORIAL DAY GAS PRICES EVER

With oil prices currently just below $100 a barrel, Arizonans are facing Memorial Day weekend gasoline and diesel prices that are the highest ever recorded for the holiday weekend. 

The national average prices is at the same level as it was in 2022. That year gas prices hit record highs. According to AAA, “Travelers are preparing to hit the road in record numbers next week, and drivers will be facing the highest Memorial Day gas prices”.

AAA estimates 39.1 million Americans will travel this weekend.

The average gasoline price in Arizona is reported to be $4.80 per gallon this week, with some areas seeing gas at more than $5.00 a gallon. The average cost of a gallon of diesel is a whopping $5.78 a gallon statewide.

Texas had the lowest price at $3.99 per gallon. Many areas of California are seeing both gasoline and diesel prices in excess of $7 a gallon.
