Former Williams Mayor, the most Honorable John W. Moore has organized a candlelight vigil at 8 PM Saturday at the community stage in the Williams Visitor Center parking lot in downtown Williams.
The vigil is to honor the life of Charlie Kirk who was assassinated in Utah Wednesday.
According to Moore, “I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie several times and I wanted to honor a man who was a true Patriot. Charlie made it his mission in life to engage with people who disagreed with him and engage them in calm and peaceful debate.”
Moore went on to say, “It is important we come together as a town and as a country to honor Kirk and recommit ourselves to the American values that allow us the ability to peacefully and respectfully discuss our political differences.”
Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend and come together in a renewed commitment to peacefully resolve our differences. Bring candles!
