According to the National Weather Service, temperatures in Northern Arizona are expected to dip in the single digits tonight and Saturday night. The Flagstaff Office forecast says, “After some fresh snow, clearing skies and light winds tonight will allow temperatures to plummet to the coldest yet this season. Low temps will reach into the single digits to teens for most of northern Arizona. The hard freeze will kill any sensitive plants and can damage unprotected pipes.”
It is critical to have a backup heat source in case of power failures or issues with your primary heater. Many people use a small propane heater as an emergency backup like the Mr. Heater or the Little Buddy. (links below).
Overnight temperatures in the teens, or lower, will persist into next week and likely beyond.
