Coconino County Superior Court Judge Cathleen Brown Nichols disqualified Williams City Council candidates Larry “Michael” Hastings and Cameron Maebe due to issues with their petition signatures and/or paperwork.
City Council candidate Chris Sadler sued Hastings, Maebe, and Thomas Kennelly after discovering potential disqualifying issues with their candidacy paperwork and their signature petitions. The Judge allowed Kennelly’s run for Williams City Council to proceed.
Unless Hastings and Maebe file and win appeals of the decision, the list of candidates is now down to 5 for the 3 open seats. The 5 remains candidates are;
