A large crowd attended a vigil held in honor of Charlie Kirk Saturday night in downtown Williams. In addition to many local residents, people came from all over Northern Arizona to attend. The vigil was organized by Former Williams Mayor John Moore to honor the life of Charlie Kirk who was assassinated in Utah Wednesday.
Moore told the crowd “I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie several times and I wanted to honor a man who was a true Patriot. Charlie made it his mission in life to engage with people who disagreed with him and engage them in calm and peaceful debate.”
Moore went on to say, “It is important we come together as a town and as a country to honor Charlie Kirk and recommit ourselves to the American values that allow us the ability to peacefully and respectfully discuss our political differences.”
Current Mayor Don Dent addressed the crowd and called for unity and to be willing to talk to those we disagree with and engage in real respectful debate.
Judge Robert Krombeem also addressed the crowd and expressed how thankful he was for the large turnout and led a short prayer.
