GAS PRICES NEAR LOWEST IN 4 YEARS AHEAD OF BUSY TRAVEL WEEKEND

Gas prices are near their lowest level in four years just ahead of the busy Thanksgiving holiday travel period. The national average is hovering just above $3 per gallon.

A number of states have gas prices under $3 per gallon, including Georgia, South Carolina,North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, and Arizona.

According. to the AAA, “overall demand is low this time of year which helps keep pump prices down”. Also “the national average has seen few fluctuations in 2025 thanks to low crude oil prices and no major storms affecting Gulf Coast refineries. 

The AAA estimates that 81.8 million people will travel at least 50 miles over the holiday period. The holiday period is measured from Tuesday, November 25, through Monday, December 1.

Currently, regular gasoline is priced just over $3.00 a gallon in Williams.
