KAIBAB ESTATES WEST FIRE LEAVES FAMILY HOMELESS

A pre dawn house fire destroyed a home on Pinto Drive in Kaibab Estates West. The fire was reported around 5 a.m. and all residents were able to escape the home safely.

Kaibab Estates West Fire Department responded quickly with 7 Firefighters and 3 trucks. They were able to keep the fire contained to the main structure saving other structures on the property.

The Ash Fork Fire Department also responded to assist. According to the Kaibab Estates West Fire Department, the fire was extinguished and mopped up in about 2 hours.

The family of 4 living in the house was left homeless and lost nearly everything. If you would like to help the family, you can text or call Erika to help at (928) 456-6555.

It is not known if the family had working smoke detectors. It is vital every home have working smoke detectors to provide early warning of fires.
