4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS CANCELLED

Mayor John Moore, after consulting with the U.S Forest Service and local Fire Departments, has decided to cancel the Williams 4th of July fireworks show given the dry conditions and fires burning in the region.

The Mayor said “with firefighting resources deployed all over the state, we don’t want to put an extra strain on local Fire Departments given the fires in our area and the dry conditions”.

According to the Mayor, “if we received significant rainfall in the next few day we would consider going ahead with the fireworks show, although that seems unlikely at this time.”

All other 4th of July events will be held as scheduled, including the parade.
