Former Williams Mayor John W. Moore filed the required paperwork to run for Mayor of the City of Williams late Monday afternoon. Moore has previously served as Williams Police Chief, Councilman, and Mayor.
According to Moore, “With the significant downturn in tax revenue to the city, and the complex issues we are facing with the sewage treatment plant, affordable housing, and others, I felt we really needed someone with the experience and the contacts I have to keep the city on track and prosperous.”
Moore will face off against political newcomer Kerry-Lynn Moede.
