GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN AVERTED FOR 45 DAYS.

The United States Senate has voted 88-9 to pass the House’s Continuing Resolution stopgap funding bill, which stripped out funds for Ukraine, and will keep the US government running for another 45 days.

The bill passed the House of Representatives earlier today with a bipartisan vote of 335-91, and was passed with just three hours left to avoid a government shutdown.

This means the grand Canyon National Park will reman open and federal employees will receive their regular paychecks on time through at least November 17th when another shutdown could take effect unless Congress acts.
