GRAND CANYON RAILWAY AND NATIONAL PARK TO REQUIRE MASKS, AGAIN!

The Grand Canyon Railway has notified employees and government officials that it will require all employees to wear masks while at work beginning Friday, July 1st. Additionally, we have received word that the Grand Canyon National Park will require all employees and visitors to wear masks while indoors at any location in the park.

The impetus for these new requirements is said to be “rising Covid 19 cases in Coconino County”.

A check of the Coconino County website however does not support this assertion. The latest update on Covid 19 cases in fact shows a decline in cases. The last update was June 24th.

The website can be checked here; https://www.coconino.az.gov/DocumentCenter/View/47698/Coconino-County-COVID-19-Weekly-Update—Week-24?bidId=

We will update this story as new information becomes available. Several credible sources have confirmed the contents of this story to us, despite the facts appearing to not align with the reported new mask mandates reasoning.
